The 2009 Texas Rally for Life was the largest ever, thanks to all those who promoted and attended this rousing event! Join us again on January 23, 2010!

Thousands marched from Republic Square to the South Steps of the Capitol on January 24, chanting and holding signs that encouraged legislators to pass bills that help women and men "Choose Life," not death, for their unborn children.

Gov. Rick Perry, who has signed more pro-life bills into law than any governor in Texas, strongly encouraged the crowd (and legislators!) to stand strong in the face of a pro-abortion national government. He urged everyone to support current pro-life legislation in Texas such as the Choose Life license plate bill (H.B. 109) and efforts to fund morally sound adult stem cell research (S.B. 73). Rep. Larry Phillips (R-Sherman) shared how his family's personal commitment to the life issue has shaped his legislative priorities.

And Julie Stobbe of the adoption awareness organization Act of Life was joined by pregnancy help center representatives, adoptive families, and heroic birth mothers who shared emotional personal testimonies about the beauty of adoption.
